@antio Just to be clear, I’m not anti-EV. I think it’s a good step forward. As long as EVs supplement the market, it will be fine. Current grid capacity cannot support 100% EVs. If the adoption rate goes along with grid capacity we’ll be fine.

@antio If everyone had an electric car, there wouldn’t be enough rare earth elements to to build them all. If somehow they could, the grid would not be able to charge them all, unless everyone goes nuclear. Then there would be enough capacity.

@antio Counter-points:
it takes more resources to mine for the rare earth elements to make an electric car. During a power outage, gas is still usually readily available.
During long road trips, filling up a gas tank takes 5 minutes and you’re back on the road.

@cypnk Great day. Didn’t have to use Windows at all. Tomorrow I’ll be back on my Windows 10 workstation at the office. And maybe have to boot up my old XP machine if I have to flash the firmware onto an old HP Spectrum Analyzer.

Switch to Mint Mobile and stop spending so much on your wireless plan. Use my referral link to get $15 in renewal credit. Then use the money you save to buy me lunch or something (as a thank you).
